There are two pets in the Grow A Garden Fall Market Update which, can change the player’s height, and that’s the Robin and the Grizzly Bear.
Both of these pets are pets you can hatch from the Fall Egg, and keep reading to find out all about the adorable, Grizzly Bear pet.
The Fall Egg is the game’s newest egg, and it’s an egg you can purchase for 90 million sheckles, every time you complete a Fall Bloom, every 5 minutes within Grow A Garden.
All of the stock inside the Fall Pets Shop, Fall Seed Shop, Fall Cosmetics Shop and Fall Gear Shop rotates with each Fall Bloom, but you are guaranteed that the Fall Egg will be in stock, once you’ve handed in your 500 points worth of the chosen crop category.
Inside the Fall Egg, you’ll hatch the following pets:
- Robin – 55% chance
- Badger – 32.5% chance
- Grizzly Bear – 10% chance
- Barn Owl – 1.5% chance
- Swan – 1% chance
The Grizzly Bear is adorable. It’s the same design of the other bears within the game – the Panda, Polar Bear, Sushi Bear and Bear Bee, except, because it’s a Grizzly Bear, it’s all brown allover, with black claws and a black smiley face.
I love the design of the bears within Grow A Garden, they all look so cute, and they walk around on all fours, and occasionally sit on their butt with their paws in the air, which is adorable.
Now, the Grizzly Bear might be the cutest pet you can hatch out of the Fall Egg, but its ability is similar to the Robin, but it is actually more useful than the Robin, thankfully.
Every 3:54 minutes, there’s a 10.29% chance a nearby fruit gets the Fall mutation. Grants 8.29% increased player size.
So, the Grizzly Bear increases your avatar’s height, whilst the Robin reduces your height.
The Grizzly Bear doesn’t just affect your height, but it gives you the opportunity to get the new Fall mutation, which launched as part of the Fall Market update.
I think it’s good that the bear performs its ability every 4 minutes (age 1), so you don’t have to wait ages for the pop-up message to tell you it inevitably failed in applying the mutation.
There is a better item in-game, if you want to achieve the Fall mutation though. The Fall Fountain in the Fall Cosmetics Shop, actually applies the Fall mutation to surrounding crops.
In my opinion, it’s better to get the fountain and skip the pet, as you can influence where the fountain is placed, and the fruits it will target, and you can’t do that with the Grizzly Bear, plus there’s only a 10% chance it will apply the mutation, so it will more often than not, fail in applying the mutation, whereas the fountain will not.
