Everything about the Grow A Garden Fairy Event update is really sweet and wholesome, apart two of the new pets; the Imp and the Cockatrice.
The new Imp pet is so different to any other pet within the game, as it actually gives you an interactive game to play, and you can win rewards by participating/playing with the Imp. Keep reading to learn more…

The Imp pet is one of the five new Enchanted Egg pets, and has a chance percentage of 15%, but I feel like it’s way more common than that, as I find myself hatching them over and over.
- Ladybug – 50% chance
- Pixie – 29% chance
- Imp – 15% chance
- Glimmering Sprite – 5% chance
- Cockatrice – 1% chance
An Imp is a supernatural or mythological creature, typically depicted as a small, mischievous demon or sprite.
It has a really creepy design, and I have to be honest, I really don’t like it.
It’s a deep red color, and looks like it’s wearing some armor, with a ring through its nose. It also has horns on its heads too.
When it’s placed in your garden, it looks like it is power walking with its arms swinging as it strolls quickly around your garden.

What Does The Grow A Garden Imp Pet Do?
Every 6.66 minutes, the Imp will playfully invite you to chase it. Catching the Imp will grant a random reward. The Imp has a 15.32% chance to play again after a successful chase.
I know this sounds like a wild benefit, but you’ll get a pop-up message appear where it’ll say the Imp wants you to chase it, and you’ll see the Imp walking super quickly across the Grow A Garden field.

I can’t believe how quickly it moves, and it will dart to a random place on the map, and will dart and run around until you “catch” it.

To catch it, you just need to touch it with your avatar, for it to register that you “caught” it, and you’ll get a pop-up message if you do catch it, telling you which Gear Shop item you’ve been rewarded with.
The Imp can even run into other player’s gardens, if you’re in a public server, which is awkward, as you have to then run through their garden to try and catch your Imp.
If you do manage to catch the Imp, you get a very small chance it’ll ask you to chase it again, but I’m yet to have that message pop-up yet, but it is only a 15% chance that it’ll happen.
You can’t “catch” other player’s Imps either – it has to be you that chases it and catches it, but other players will see the Imp running around the map, which is cool.
Whilst I find the design really creepy (and the noises it makes), I love the idea of an interactive pet that does something completely different to everything else, plus you get cool Gear items like reclaimers, (multiple) harvest tools and watering cans for free.
