One of my favorite things about the new Grow A Garden summer event, is the launch of the brand new Reclaimer tool, which has been introduced as one of the crafting recipes.
This single tool is an absolute game changer, and I’m going to give you the full low-down, and let you know how amazing this new tool is…

The Grow A Garden Reclaimer is a brand new tool that you have to craft via the Crafting Tables within the Cosmetics/Crafting stand with Isaac.
There are two crafting tables, just like there used to be with Bizzy Bear, with one table being the place you craft seeds, and the other table allows you to craft tools and gear items.

You have to craft the reclaimer tool, but you do have the option to purchase the reclaimer with Robux, if you don’t want to faff about crafting the tool, with the Robux price being 199 Robux.
To craft the reclaimer tool you’ll need the following items:
- 1 x Common Egg
- 1 x Harvest Tool
- 500,000 Sheckles

Once you’ve handed over the egg, harvest tool and the sheckles, it takes 45 minutes to craft the tool, and we don’t get the working bee swarm event anymore, so you don’t get the 10x speed, so you have to wait the 45 minutes, or pay 39 Robux to skip the 45 minute crafting time.

How Does The Reclaimer Gear Work In Grow A Garden?
So you’ve crafted a reclaimer gear, but what does it do?
Well, each reclaimer gives you one single use where you can convert a fully grown plant in your garden into a seed within your inventory.
Do you have a plant in your garden that you don’t want right now, but you don’t want to shovel it and lose it forever? That’s where the reclaimer comes in.
It allows you to convert an existing, fully grown plant back into a seed, so you get the space in your garden, but you don’t lose the plant forever.
It works on any fully grown plant in your garden – even the limited edition plants.
I love my moon mango trees, and they were super limited edition, and no longer available, but they take up so much room. With the reclaimer, I’ve been able to convert all seven moon mango trees I had, back into seeds, so I can replant them any time I want in the future.

To use the reclaimer gear, you obviously have to craft one, but you just walk upto the plant you want to convert back into a seed, and click once.
You don’t even have to fully harvest the plant first, but you’ll get a pop-up box, which will ask you:
“Are you sure you want to reclaim this?” and it’ll name the plant you’re trying to “reclaim” so you can be sure you’re using the reclaimer on the right plant. You then have to choose to confirm or cancel, to let the game know if you want to confirm this plant back into a seed.

Once you click confirm, you get another message on the screen which reads “XYZ has been picked up” and there’s a little animation to let you know it’s gone into your seed inventory.
It will then just be added like a seed you purchase, and will show up in your seed tab within your inventory, allowing you to keep it, and replant whenever you wish to, in the future.
I like that you don’t have to fully harvest the plant beforehand, but if you don’t harvest the plant first, you will lose all of the fruits that were on the plant, so make sure you’re not going to lose any mutated fruit before you do this.
What makes the reclaimer one of my favorite parts of this update – and potentially my number one favorite part, is that you regrow the seed from scratch when you plant it.
Have you ever planted a seed and it grew into the tiniest plant? It’s all down to luck with how big or small the fully grown plants are, in your garden, but with the reclaimer it gives you another chance to grow the plant, and you could end up with something way bigger (or smaller) than you had before.

I have the perfect example for this. I got the dragon pepper in the Crafters Seed Pack, and it grew into a really small plant. I used the reclaimer on it, and then replanted it, and my new dragon pepper is so, so much bigger than my original – my photos of the before and after don’t do it justice, but the difference is amazing.

It is such a game changer, especially on super rare seeds where you have just one shot to get a decent sized tree or plant. I’ve already used the Reclaimer to regrow a number of my smaller plants, and I am so much happier with the regrown plants and trees.
You could obviously end up with something smaller too, but if you do, just craft another reclaimer, and then replant again, until you get a size/shape you’re happy with.
