Grow A Garden has officially launched Save Slots today, ahead of the brand new Zen update.
We’ve all been asking for save slots for the longest time, especially with the introduction of events like the Mega Harvest, where you have to grind and mess up your garden, in order to grind for the hourly event. Well, they are officially here!
Keep on reading to find out all about the Grow A Garden Save Slots, and find out how they work.

What Are Grow A Garden Save Slots?
You have probably logged into Grow A Garden today, and noticed the grey colored mailbox outside your garden.
This is the new feature, for accessing the new save slot system.
With Save Slots, you can have two different gardens linked to your one Roblox account.
We cannot name them, but I wish we could, as it’d make it a little easier to tell them apart, but you basically get two different gardens, and you can access them from the one account, without worrying about using alt accounts.

How Much Are The Grow A Garden Save Slots?
To purchase the Save Slot, it is going to cost you 25 billion sheckles, or you can use Robux to purchase it, and it’ll be 399 Robux for unlocking your save slot.
Maybe they’ll add more save slots in the future, but for now, we have the option of having two gardens; your original garden, and your new garden.
I know 25 billion sheckles is a lot, but the images from the testing server showed the price was 100 billion sheckles, so they’ve actually greatly reduced the price, and I personally think it is absolutely worth it, as it’ll be so much easier being able to have two gardens with the one account.

How To Access Your Save Slot Gardens
You need to walk up to the mailbox outside your garden, and interact with the mailbox.
When you do, you’ll get a pop-up screen, which will list your gardens as Save Slot #1 (your original garden), and then Save Slot #2.
Next to the garden you’re not currently using, there’s a mention of the last time you logged into that garden, plus an option to load that garden.
There is a cooldown period, once you’ve loaded up a garden, and that time is 3 minutes.
So, you will have to wait 3 minutes before being able to access your other garden, after loading into the other garden, which I guess is designed to reduce lag – you do get a pop-up message telling you the specific amount of time you’ll have to wait before you can access the garden.

How Do The Grow A Garden Save Slots Work?
What is amazing with the save slots, is that your balance, inventory and pets will be the same across your two gardens.
You don’t have to start again with zero sheckles, and you get access to all of your seeds from your main garden, which is amazing.
The pets you have equipped in your main garden, will automatically be equipped in your second garden, and if you change a pet in one of your gardens, it will change in your other garden.
When it comes to the eggs, you have your egg slots from your main garden still in place, so for example, if you have 5 egg slots, and you have 5 eggs placed in your main garden, you cannot place any further eggs in the new garden.
I love that the size of the garden in the new save slot, is the same size as your original garden.
So, if you’ve done the garden expansions on your original garden, those expansions apply in your new save slot garden, so you’re starting with a huge new garden from the start.
Can You Load Both Your Gardens At The Same Time?
No, you cannot have both of your save slot gardens open at the same time, and you cannot transfer plants from one garden to another.
Any fruit you harvest from one garden, will be available in the second garden, but there’s no way (right now at least) that you can have both of your gardens open at the same time within the one server. You have to choose one garden to be able to play.
Do Both Save Slot Gardens Grow Offline?
Yes! This has been confirmed, both gardens will grow offline, when you come out of the game, and plants will grow normally like they would when we had just one garden.
Does The New Grow A Garden Save Slot Garden Help Prevent Stealing?
With the new save slot garden, you’re able to keep one garden for your best mutated, and most valuable fruits, and another for building with cosmetics, so you can keep your valuable fruits safe by never playing in a public server with your main garden.
However, you must, must, must make sure you do not log into a public server with your main garden first, as people will be able to steal from your garden whilst you are still loading in.
So, make sure you swap to your second garden first, before loading into a public server, or you’ll risk your best fruits/flowers.
Does Your Cosmetic Item Limit Reset With The New Save Slot?
Yes! Once you’re inside your new save slot garden, your placed cosmetic item counter will be zero, and you will get access to all of your cosmetic items in your inventory, so you can place any cosmetic items you own.
I have 23 cosmetics items placed in my main garden, and when I load up my second garden, it shows my placed cosmetic items as 0, so you can decorate without worrying about your limit on the main garden.
This new addition to the game, means you’ll be able to use public servers with your new garden, if you don’t have your best mutated fruits in there, so it’s such an exciting addition to the game, and I hope we don’t have to wait too long for trading to be introduced, as that’s a feature we’ve needed for the longest time.
