Every week, in the hour to ninety-minute period before Grow A Garden updates launch on Saturday, we’re always treated to a whole host of Jandel admin abuse, with fun admin-only weather events, OP restocks, and also Jandel often shares news and sneak peeks for the upcoming updates.
This Saturday, Jandel has announced that he’s going to be joined by a celebrity guest for the admin abuse before the update launches, which is very exciting!
At the time of writing this post (Tuesday), we haven’t had an official announcement on what this Saturday’s update is actually going to be, but since early June, each themed update has lasted for two weeks, and the second week is always an extension of the first week’s update.
So, for the Prehistoric update, for the second week, we got an upgraded DNA machine, better daily quests, new dinosaur pets and new features.
I 100% believe the same will happen this Saturday for the Zen update. I think we’ll just get more features and improvements to the Zen update.
I think the Zen update is the most disappointing and underwhelming update Grow A Garden has launched, so I really hope that this Saturday’s update will be a massive improvement, as it’s just so boring and uneventful, especially with the Zen shop stock being so, so terrible.
Whilst we don’t know what the update this Saturday is going to be, we do know for sure, that Jandel is going to have a special guest for this week’s admin abuse.
What Is Jandel’s Admin Abuse?
We all get to experience different weather events while playing normally, which includes weathers like wind, rain, thunder, gale, heatwave and frost, and all of these weather events have a chance to give our fruit mutations.
With admin abuse, it happens during the 90 minutes before an update launches (every Saturday), and it’s when Jandel runs the admin-only weather events, which can’t spawn naturally within the game.
These admin-only weather events happen frequently, every 5-10 minutes in the run-up to the update’s launch, and each of the admin abuse events give you a chance to get super valuable crop mutations like AlienLike, Galactic, Disco, Molten, Fried, Plasma, Dawnbound and VoidTouched etc.
During the Jandel Admin Abuse, Jandel uses the global chat feature to talk to everyone in the center of the screen, and usually, it’s just him that does the admin abuse event an hour before an update.
However, he announced during last Saturday’s admin abuse session:
“Guys next week… I might have a special guest hosting the admin abuse with me… all I can say… I bet no one will guess who it is“
We didn’t get any clues as to who it would be, however, today, they posted an image of either an American Football or an Australian Rules Football – you can see from the stitch pattern on the silhouette.
In the background of the image, you can see a stadium like graphic surrounding the Seed Shop and Sell Shop, so it would suggest that perhaps this “Celebrity” special guest is perhaps going to be an NFL star or an AFL star?
They’ve now released this photo, showing the football in more detail, instead of being just a silhouette, so it’s clearly a football player. Not sure how relevant they’re going to be a gardening game though…
It’ll be interesting to see who it is, and if there’s any connection to who they are, and what the update is going to be. Maybe it’s just random, but I’ll update this post once we know more information.
