The new Grow A Garden Mega Harvest Update is officially here, and with it, it brought a brand new egg with five brand new pets, plus a new Harvest Shop, with one exclusive pet.
The hamster is the new and limited edition pet, that you can purchase from the Harvest Shop, and it’s unlike the majority of the Grow A Garden pets, as you don’t hatch the hamster from an egg. You purchase it fully grown. Keep on reading to find out all about this adorable hamster…
What Is The Grow A Garden Hamster Pet?
The Grow A Garden Hamster is one of the items you can purchase from the Harvest Shop.
To access the shop, you have to speak to “Georgia”, and ask to see the Harvest Shop, where you’ll see a mix of items, which can all be purchased with Robux, or the brand new in-game currency; Summer Coins.
The hamster is a “mythical” item within the shop, and can be purchased for 449 Robux, or you can exchange 15 of your Summer Coins to purchase one.
Once you’ve purchased the hamster with Summer Coins, the pet will appear in your hand, and it’s the most adorable, tiny hamster.
The size is random, but mine was 1.11kg, and it really is tiny, but that makes it so much cuter.
It’s a tiny ginger and white hamster, with chubby cheeks, pink feet, pink nose, little ears, and a tiny little tail that it wiggles the whole time.
What Does The Grow A Garden Hamster Pet Do?
With the hamster equipped in your garden, every 3.06 minutes, it runs in a hamster wheel, and boosts your crafting speed by 30.33% for 18.55 seconds.
This is particularly helpful as we have three brand new craft-only seeds (Peace Lily, Aloe Vera and Guanabana), and they take a while to craft, so by having this hamster as one of your equipped pets, it’ll help speed up the crafting process.
There are now lots of things to craft within the game, which is where the hamster comes in handy.
We have three seeds, the new mutation sprays, the pack bee, the reclaimer gear, the lightning rod and even the new sprinklers and anti-bee egg.
It is the kind of pet that you only need to equip it in your garden, when you’re doing crafting, as it’s pointless to have it down as one of your pet slot pets, if you’re not doing crafting.
Similar to the seal, that allows you to get free eggs when selling pets.
There’s no point having the seal down, unless you’re selling pets, and it’s the same for the hamster. Just put it down and equip it when you’re doing some crafting on the crafting table.
It’s such a cute pet, I love the design, and the fact it speeds up crafting, makes it such a useful pet to own!
Plus, it’s super limited edition, and will only be available until the Prehistoric Dino event launches on Saturday, so get one while you can!
