Whenever Grow A Garden introduces new pets, it’s always exciting whenever there’s a pet that offers a new mutation, and the Badger is one of the pets that offers a new mutation, within the Fall Market update. If you’d like to find out all about the new Badger pet, keep on reading…

The Badger pet is one of the most common pets in the Fall Egg, and it offers a decent benefit for such a common pet.
Here are the five pets you can find inside the Fall Egg:
- Robin – 55% chance
- Badger – 32.5% chance
- Grizzly Bear – 10% chance
- Barn Owl – 1.5% chance
- Swan – 1% chance
The Badger pet has a 32.5% chance, making it the most common pet after the Robin.

It has such a cute design, with a grey and white color theme, with grey claws. It doesn’t have the best animation in-game, as it doesn’t walk like other pets. It glides along the floor not moving its legs, almost like the design is broken or something.
So it just slides across your garden and jumps up and down on the spot when it gets stuck, but the design and smiley face is so cute, I still love the look of the badger, with its cute little ears.

When it comes to the Badger’s ability, it’s a heck of a lot more useful than the Robin and Grizzly Bear pets.
Every 5:03 minutes, it digs around for 10.28 seconds, displacing the ground. Nearby fruits within 20.71 studs have a 10.28% chance every second to get the cracked mutation.
I feel like the Badger is similar to the Tanchozuru pet in the Zen event, in that it mutates surrounding fruit for a decent amount of seconds.
It is going to be such an handy pet to own if we ever get an update where we need to hand in mutated fruits – like the Kitchen Storm update, as it mutates a really good number of fruits.
It does this ability every 5 minutes at age 1, which will only improve as it ages, making it an even more impressive pet to own, when you need to mutate a large amount of crops. Make sure you get at least one decent sized one, to keep, incase you ever need a pet to mutate on mass.
