We finally got a brand new Grow A Garden Egg in the Easter update, with the last egg being during the Garden Games update (which was the 10th of January, believe it or not).
The Easter event gives us the Golden Egg, which we can purchase for free, using the new Chocolate Coins in-game currency, for playing the Easter update, growing Easter seeds in your Easter garden, and selling the fruits to the Easter Sell Shop.

The Grow A Garden Golden Egg costs 25,000 Chocolate Coins for the first egg, but the price goes up with every egg you buy, and the price is reset back to 25,000 every 12 hours.
You can also buy the eggs with Robux or Trade Tokens via the Shop. I’ve been playing the update, and have been buying 7 Golden Eggs every 12 hours, using the Chocolate Coin currency, but I know many people have been buying super cheap pets from the egg in the Trading Plaza, and then selling them with Seals equipped, to try and get more eggs.

The Golden Egg hatches in just 30 minutes, and there are only four pets inside the egg. I can’t remember the last time we had an egg with so few pets; I think it was the Summer update last year.
Inside the Golden Egg, you can get the following Easter pets:
- Chocolate Bunny – 55% chance
- Easter Egg Chick – 35% chance
- Marshmallow Lamb – 9% chance
- Easter Bunny – 0.5% chance
- Gilded Choc Golden Egg – 0.5% chance
The Easter Bunny is the rarest pet inside the Golden Egg, and is a Divine rarity pet, with a 0.5% chance. For this event, the devs introduced something really cool, where free to play players get a chance of getting the premium version of the pets.
Usually, you’d have to spend Robux to get a chance to hatch a premium version of a pet (Rainbow Hatched, Ghostly Hatched, GIANT Hatched, Festive Hatched), but you get a 0.5% chance with each egg, to get a Gilded Choc version of the egg.

The Easter Bunny pet is adorable, with it being a white bunny, with a blue shirt and a pink bow-tie. It is carrying a little Easter basket, with an Easter Egg inside, and it has a straw hat with a flower too.
It’s so nice to see pets with decent designs again, after so so long of reskins or questionable designs (I always say it, but Birb).
Once placed in your garden, the Easter Bunny hops along with its basket, and it just looks so cute.
It’s kinda a full circle moment, as the first ever egg in the game was the Common Egg, with the white bunny inside, and Grow A Garden just had their first birthday, so it’s like a bunny upgrade.

What Rewards Does The Grow A Garden Easter Bunny Pet Give You?
The ability of my age 1 and 1.36kg at hatch Easter Bunny is:
“Every 23:45 minutes hides an Easter Egg reward in a random spot. Finding the Easter Egg grants rewards/very positive effects.“
I’ve tested the bunny out with other pets, to see how best to use it. Unfortunately, the Mimics don’t work. It tells you on the screen that it has copied the bunny’s ability, but nothing happens.
The bunny’s ability can, however, by cooled down by other pets. The best strat has been:
- Easter Bunny
- 1 x 60kg Venom or Nightmare Griffin
- 2 x 15 Second Peacocks
- 1 x Ghostly Spider
- 3 x 15 Second Mimics
Having cooldown pets helps to reduce the waiting time for the bunny to perform its ability. With this pet loadout, the Easter Bunny spawns an Easter Egg somewhere on the map, every 40 seconds or so.
The bunny spawns a striped pink and blue egg with sparkles somewhere on the map, but not in any gardens, and you have to find it, and walk into it, to claim the reward.
The Rainbow Coil is SO helpful for this, as you can speed across the map quickly to find it – it also works well for the Egg Hunt part of the event too.

When you walk into the egg, there’s a pop-up message to tell you which reward the bunny gave you. There are a selection of benefits the Easter Bunny can give you, and they are:
- Gives 10,000 XP to one pet, or spreads it amongst a number of pets
- Advances plant’s growth by 24 hours
- Adds the Choc mutation to 15 random fruits in your garden
- Turns one random fruit Rainbow
- Ages up one random pet in your garden by 1 level/age
- Gives 10,000 XP to one pet, or spreads it amongst a number of pets
- Advances the growth of 15 random plants
All of the pets in my garden were age 100, and the Easter Bunny was able to age itself up a level, which is kinda cool.
I assumed it wouldn’t do anything to itself, but it’d be a quick way to age up one specific pet, if your other pets equipped are all age 100.
The Easter Bunny is like an amalgamation of multiple pets, with the rewards it gives. It gives XP like a Dilo, advances a plant by 24 hours like an Echo Frog, adds Choc mutation like a Tanuki, turns a fruit Rainbow like a Butterfly, ages up a pet by 1 level like a French Fry Ferret, gives XP like a Dilo, and advances growth of 15 plants like a Tree Frog.
It isn’t the most OP pet we’ve ever had, but it is certainly better than any pet we’ve had in the game since December 27th, and hopefully it’s the start of more useful and aesthetically appealing pets appearing again.
