The Grow A Garden Pet Mutations Update brought an extension to the Prehistoric Update which launched the previous week. With the update, we got a brand new egg, with six brand new dinosaurs, all of which have names that are difficult to pronounce, especially compared to the six dinosaurs we got the previous week.
The Ankylosaurus is the second-rarest pet within the Primal Egg, and is a great pet if you play in public servers. Keep reading to find out why…
What Is The Grow A Garden Ankylosaurus Pet?
The Pet Mutations Update brought a brand new Primal Egg, with six new dinosaurs.
To get your hands on a Primal Egg, you’ll need to craft one via the Prehistoric Update crafting bench, or you can earn them from donating unwanted pets to Graham, for the DNA machine, providing you’ve upgraded the DNA Machine to the highest level.
Of course, you can also purchase Premium Primal Eggs via the “Shop” icon, but they’ll cost you Robux.
Inside the Primal Egg, you can hatch one of these dinosaurs:
- Parasaurolophus – 35% chance
- Iguanodon – 32.5% chance
- Pachycephalosaurus – 28%
- Dilophosaurus – 3% chance
- Ankylosaurus – 1% chance
- Spinosaurus – 0.5% chance
The Ankylosaurus is just a 1% chance pet, and I ended up hatching my Spinosaurus before I hatched my Ankylosaurus.
I just love the attention to detail for the design. It’s a grey dinosaur, with light grey bony plates (or osteoderms or scutes as they’re actually called) with a fishtail shaped tail, which swoops from side to side.
It’s a really long dinosaur, and it just looks so cool strutting through the garden.
What Are The Benefits Of The Grow A Garden Ankylosaurus Pet?
With the Ankylosaurus Pet, you’re going to want to be a public server player.
I am not. I never play in public servers, and just play alone in my own private server, so this pet is absolutely useless to me, but it’s amazing to have a pet to help those that do play in public servers, and are sick of the ridiculous stealing feature within the game.
With the Ankylosaurus, when another player steals fruit from you, it grants you a 16.48% chance you get the stolen fruit as well.
This ability stacks too, so if you do hatch more of the dinosaur, you can equip them, and they’ll collectively increase the chance you’ll get your stolen fruit as well.
The stolen fruit will appear in your inventory, so it’ll be picked, and unable to get more mutations, but at least you wouldn’t lose it completely, which is definitely better than nothing, or the game, could, you know, stop letting people steal favorited fruit, as it’s not fair.
I think the design of this dinosaur is one of my favorites in the game, as it’s so detailed. It really does look like an Ankylosaurus Pet.
Luckily, I have 8 seal pets, so I can equip them all, and then sell my Ankylosaurus pets, and get a super high chance of getting free Primal Eggs, to try hatching one of the other dinosaurs, but if you play in private servers only, this is a pointless pet.
