The Spinosaurus pet is the newest divine pet within Grow A Garden. There are six new dinosaur pets, which can be found inside the Primal Egg, which are an extension to the six dinosaur pets we got in the first of the Prehistoric Dino update.
We already had the raptor, stegosaurus, triceratops, brontosaurus, pterodactyl and t rex pets, and now we have another six new dinosaurs to hatch, including the rarest pet; the Spinosaurus.

What Is The Grow A Garden Spinosaurus Pet?
The Spinosaurus is one of six new dinosaur pets in the new Grow A Garden Primal Egg.
This egg can be crafted via the Prehistoric Update crafting bench, or earned from donating unwanted pets to Graham, for the DNA machine, providing you’ve upgraded the DNA Machine to the highest level.
Primal Eggs are beige all over, with two brown stripes around the middle, with a dinosaur bone on each side of the egg, and then there are some ribs poking out of the top of the egg.
You can also purchase Premium Primal Eggs via the “Shop” icon, but they cost Robux.
Inside the Primal Egg, you will hatch one of the following dinosaurs:
- Parasaurolophus – 35% chance
- Iguanodon – 32.5% chance
- Pachycephalosaurus – 28%
- Dilophosaurus – 3% chance
- Ankylosaurus – 1% chance
- Spinosaurus – 0.5% chance
It took me a heck of a lot of eggs to get my spinosaurus pet. It was much easier to hatch a T Rex than it was a spinosaurus.
The design is kinda cool, with it being brown all over, with a red colored “Sail” along its back, black claws and menacing white sharp teeth.
We’ve not had 3D teeth on a pet before, so it is super unique to the other dinosaur pets.

What Does The Grow A Garden Spinosaurus Pet Do?
Every 20:01 minutes, the spinosaurus devours a random mutation from 3.37 fruits in your garden each, then roars, spreading those mutations to 1 random fruit in your garden. Prioritizes applying mutations to a favorited fruit.

The T Rex pet eats one mutation from one plant in your garden, and then spreads this one mutation to three single fruits in your garden.
Whereas the spinosaurus pet eats three different mutations in the garden, and then applies these three different mutations to one single fruit in your garden.

This is what the pop-up message looks like, when your spinosaurus activates, and the fruits have been mutated.
I have both my spinosaurus and T Rex pet equipped in my garden at the same time, and it’s amazing to see the notifications pop up to see which fruits are getting mutated.
