The latest Grow A Garden update has been announced, and it’s the brand new Pet Mutations Update, which is launching this Saturday, July the 12th.
The Prehistoric Dino Update launched last Saturday (July 5th), and the dinosaur themed event is being extended as part of this new pet mutation update.
What Is The Grow A Garden Pet Mutations Update?
Jandel first announced the Pet Mutations Update on his TikTok, where he showed a video of the brand new set-up that will be introduced where the current Pet Egg Shop is situated.
The Pet Eggs will no longer be on display outside the shop, and instead, there will be a brand new Pet Mutations machine, which we can feed our pets into, to gain mutations, passives, buffs and cosmetics.
Plus, there will actually be craftable and buyable gear items for XP boosts, so we can age our pets to 100.
Not only are we getting the whole new Pet Mutations features, but the Prehistoric Dino Event is being extended.

The dinosaur update brought a brand new egg (Dinosaur Egg), six new dinosaur pets, a daily quest (which resets every 12 hours), new seeds, new weather events and more.
Well, the dinosaur themed event is being extended with some exciting new features:
New Prehistoric Quests
We currently have the Prehistoric Daily Quest, which resets every 12 hours, with the weekly reward being the Bone Blossom Seed.
New quests could mean new prizes, but it could also mean the quests are being changed, so we could get to do other things other than plant a mango seed, harvest 150 blueberries, grow a dog to age 10 for example. I hope it means we get new seeds as rewards.
New Crafting Recipes
Right now, there are 3 dinosaur themed crafting recipes; a Mutation Spray Amber, Ancient Seed Pack and Dino Crate. We are getting new crafting recipes, so it’s exciting to see what they are going to be.
New Seeds
This is always an exciting addition to any Grow A Garden update, and maybe we’ll be getting a dinosaur themed shop, with seeds we can buy. Perhaps we’ll get a new weekly prize seed to replace the Bone Blossom?
New Pets
I think it’s possible we’re going to get the brown dinosaur that was in the promotional photo for the update, as that dinosaur wasn’t included within the Dinosaur Egg, but I can’t wait to see how many new pets we’re going to be getting in this Prehistoric Dino update extension.
New Epic Admin Weather Events
For the launch of the Prehistoric Dino Event, we only got like 5 admin weather events when usually we get over 10, as Jandel mentioned he was sick. There was a lot of negativity on social media surrounding the lack of admin weather events during the update.
Jandel posted a TikTok video where he said he would be doing a lot of weather events on Saturday to make up for it, so you definitely don’t want to miss out, so ensure you are online and in the game an hour before the update.
What Time Does The Grow A Garden Pet Mutations Update Launch?
The new Grow A Garden Pet Mutations update launches at 10am EST on Saturday, the 12th of July 2025, and it is a week-long update, and will run until the 19th of July.
