It’s hard to believe that Grow A Garden only launched in March of this year. The game has come so far, and the latest update has been officially announced for this Saturday.
Last Saturday, Grow A Garden launched their summer harvest update, and it was the worst received update they’d ever had. I’ve never seen so much negativity on social media for a game’s update before – people were not happy with the summer harvest update.
Jandel, however, promised to make it better, and now we have the new Grow A Garden mega harvest update which has been announced for this Saturday. Keep on reading to find out more…

The update included 13 new pets, new weather events, new admin weather events, new gear items and a new harvest event.
Players were not happy with the harvest event within the game, and were very vocal on social media about how much they disliked the update.

So much so, 58 minutes after the update launched, Jandel used the broadcast feature within the game to send a message to everyone, and apologized for the update – 58 minutes after it launched.
I felt terrible for him, as he was so excited and hyped in the messages he sent for the 90 minutes leading up to the update launch, and then to get such negativity must have been horrible.
This didn’t calm down people being super vocal about what they disliked about the update, and on the following day, DJ Jhai (lead developer) did an announcement in the Discord to say:
Update 1.11.2 [FIXES/CHANGES]
- You can now submit all summer fruits in your inventory by talking to Georgia and selecting “Take all my summer fruits”
- Crafting the Reclaimer now gives you 3 uses instead of 1
- There are now extra summer seed packs and more chances to obtain them through the Summer Harvest
- And a few more small fixes
The amendments definitely made the harvest event easier, but it’s still such a frustrating event, and I have to be honest, I don’t check the stock in the Seed Shop anymore, because the way the harvest event is set up, there’s no need to fill your garden with the best seeds, so there’s no need to keep checking to see what’s in stock, and that was one of my favorite parts of Grow A Garden.
You just need to be efficient with high yield crops, and I’ve basically used the new reclaimer tool to turn all my favorite plants back into seeds, and just turned my garden into an efficient harvest event set-up with an insane amount of pineapples and tomatoes.

Grow A Garden Mega Harvest Update
The Grow A Garden team has announced this Saturday’s update, and it’s called the Mega Harvest update, and this is the description they’ve given:
Mega Harvest 👨🌾☀️🌴
The summer harvest isn’t over yet… Introducing the Mega Harvest, an upgraded summer harvest event that brings lots of epic surprises! Discover and unlock new seeds, pets, craftable items, weather, and lots more…
This announcement is SO exciting. The fact that it’s an “upgraded” summer harvest, which suggests they’ve perhaps listened to feedback, and improved the harvest event, but not only that, they’re giving us new seeds, new pets, craftable items, weather and more?!
I really hope this new version of the event will be less difficult, and everyone could perhaps have a reward track like the Lunar Glow Event, where the top points were 530, and there were set rewards for all the different milestones until you finished the reward track.
Sometimes, I get 15,000 points, and end up with 2 Summer Seed Packs and a crate (oh I hate the crates), and it’s gutting. It needs to be fairer, and new rewards is so needed, instead of just being old stuff from the past.
Grow A Garden Mega Harvest Update SPOILERS

Firstly, we are getting a brand new HAMSTER PET. How cute is the design? It’s a little ginger hamster with a white face, and cute chubby cheeks, pink feet, a pink nose, and little ears.
Every 3:06 minutes, the hamster runs in a hamster wheel and boosts crafting speed by 30.66% for 19:32 seconds.

The next pet we’re getting is an axolotl pet. The axolotl pet has a 6.76% chance that summer type fruit stays after collecting.

We are getting a hyacinth macaw pet, and every 8:34 minutes, there’s a 15.96% chance to mutate a nearby fruit by applying the “Wilt” mutation.

We’re getting a meerkat, and every 10:48 minutes, the meerkat goes to another pet and does a lookout. That pet advances its cooldown by 21.16 seconds. Has a 10.58% chance to do it again after each lookout.

Lastly, we’re getting a sand snake which, buying from the seed/gear shop has a 1.47% chance to duplicate the bought item.

Here is a sneak peek of the NEW egg we are getting in this update.
The Grow A Garden Oasis Egg is going to be an egg we can purchase via the “Shop” button on the side of the screen, and it’ll be 149 Robux each.
The new Oasis Egg is going to have a “premium” version, which means a version you can purchase via the Shop button on the left of the screen; just like the Anti-Bee Eggs, which you could purchase as the premium version.

We are getting nine BRAND NEW seeds within the update.
You can find out all about the new seeds right here, but we are getting one new seed for the seed shop, which is going to cost over 900 Robux, and eight other seeds which will be available via the new Mega Harvest event.

We are getting three more mutation sprays in this update, which I assume will be launched as new crafting recipes to join the existing sprays (Shocked, Choc and Pollinated).
The three new mutation sprays are:
- Mutation Spray Burnt
- Mutation Spray Chilled
- Mutation Spray Cloud Touched
How cool does the cloud touched mutation spray sound? That sounds so interesting, and I wonder what the multiplier will be?

If you like cosmetics in the game and/or crates, there’s a new Oasis Crate launching, as part of the cosmetics shop, and it has a matching design to the Oasis Egg.

We are also getting a magnifying glass gear item, but we have no idea what this will do. I wonder if it will let you choose which fruits get the sundried mutation during a heatwave, and you hold it next to a specific fruit you want the sun rays to target.

Jandel loves to give us a spoiler, and in his most recent TikTok video, he was talking about how he would like to put a display outside everyone’s gardens, where you can place your best most mutated fruit, without people stealing them.
However, that’s not the spoiler. The spoiler is this tree we can see in the video, that he pans past super quickly.
It’s a super tall tree, with branches, and red leaves. I’ve seen people say they think it’s a date tree, but it does look like it could be an apple tree?

It does look like a low-yield tree, as we can only see three fruits on the whole tree, but maybe they’ll be super valuable? Jandel did say he wanted to launch a new plant in the game, that was worth *more* than the Candy Blossom, so could this be it?

In this other spoiler from his TikTok, you can see a massive green plant, with what looks like yellow spikes! I wonder what plant this could be?
I’m so excited to see the new Grow A Garden Mega Harvest update, and see the new pets and seed, and it launches this Saturday, at at 10am EST – check your time zone for the update launch right here.
