Have you seen the chicken pet in Grow A Garden, and wondered what it does and is it worth having as one of your pets in your garden?
We are limited on how many pets we can have in our gardens at one time, so you want to make sure you’re choosing the best pets, with the best benefits. Keep on reading to find out all about the chicken pet…

What Is The Chicken Pet In The Grow A Garden Game?
The chicken is a pet you can find inside the uncommon egg.
With the uncommon eggs, they are 150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand sheckles), and can be purchased in the pet shop.
There are four different pets inside the uncommon eggs, and they are:
- Black Bunny (black) 25%
- Chicken (yellow) 25%
- Cat (grey) 25%
- Deer (brown) 25%
All four pets in the uncommon eggs have an even percentage, so they’re as rare as each other.
The chicken is super cute, with a bright yellow body, an orange beak and feet, and a red comb on the top of its head.

What Does The Chicken Pet Do In Grow A Garden?
If you have the chicken pet in your garden, it has a double benefit.

It firstly will increase your egg hatching time by 10%.
But, if you have a rooster and a chicken pet equipped in your garden at the same time, it gives you an 11.45% chance that the chicken will lay an egg for you – how cute is that?
I personally would rather choose one of the two kiwi pets, as they quicken up the egg hatching speed a lot more.
I do think the chicken is really cute though, it is so quick as it sprints around your farm, but there are much better pets within the game, in my personal opinion.
