Urban Decay has launched an amazing looking liquid chrome effect powder eyeshadow. The Urban Decay Chrome Melts Metallic Eyeshadows are multi-dimensional powder shadows which look like they could be indie eyeshadows with the most stunning color shifts. Keep on reading to find out more…
I’ve been the biggest Urban Decay fan ever since I bought their Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. 1 back in 2008, and their makeup always used to be so fun, imaginative and colorful.
Their brand motto was “Beauty With An Edge”, and this brand new eyeshadow formula and the shades remind me of the “old” Urban Decay, and I’m excited.
Urban Decay Chrome Melts Metallic Eyeshadows are a collection of five revolutionary chrome eyeshadow powered by innovative freeze-dried technology.
They claim to deliver an explosive multi-dimensional chromatic finish with a silky, blendable texture that melts onto your eyelids.
Urban Decay Chrome Melts are single eyeshadows that Urban Decay are marketing as being their most multi-dimensional eyeshadow formula with a vibrant, ultra-reflective and light-catching pigments.
With how reflective and metallic they look, they remind me of the shades inside the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette from their Holiday 2017 collection, although those shadows don’t have the duochrome shifts that these new Urban Decay Chrome Melts shadows have.
They are high-pigment pressed metallic eyeshadows to give you a liquid-metal effect for wet-look shine. You can diffuse the shades for a softer shine, or layer them for a more intense chrome-colour effect.
Here are all five of the Urban Decay Chrome Melts shades;
- Bit Moody – champagne with silver gold foil
- Temper Tantrum – silver foil
- Hot Head – amber red with green gold triple chrome shift
- Zero Chill – blue with violet duo chrome shift
- Crash Out – green with gold duo chrome shift
Each of the five shades are formulated with emollient coated pigments with a liquid-to-frozen cryo-extraction manufacturing process for easy pickup and blending.
You can apply these shadows with your fingertip or a brush, and when applied with a wet brush, you’ll get an even stronger foiled effect, and they’re available now.
