The Maybelline Silver Chrome Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara is a silver chrome colored version of the waterproof Sky High Mascara.
Described as being a “striking” metallic shade that is infused with reflective metallic pearl pigments that give you an opaque cosmic shimmer effect on your lashes, which reflects the light from every angle.
You get the same Sky High Mascara formula, but with the glamour of the silver chrome color and shimmer.
Maybelline describe the mascara shade as working in two ways. You can wear the Silver Chrome shade for a frosted look on the very tips of your eyelashes, or be worn as a dual look with Silver Chrome on your upper lashes and their Burgundy shade on your lower lashes.
I don’t think the brand photos do the Maybelline Silver Chrome Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara shade justice.
It looks like a really sparkly and shimmer silver color in the swatch of the mascara, which would look really dimensional in real life, but with the bright studio lighting (you can see the size of the studio lighting bulbs/reflectors in the model’s eyes), the mascara kinda looks white, and gives “stuck in the snow for hours” vibes.
For the holiday season, it’s a fun product to try and it does look like it’s going to be prettier than the above photo looks, and it is available now.
