Jeffree Star has announced his newest collection in time for summer; the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Heavy Metal Couture Collection.
It is a gothic and heavy metal themed “mini” collection, and the inspiration behind the collection was when Jeffree was on the Vans Warped tour back in 2009. This collection features an eyeshadow palette, lip balms, liquid eyeliner pens and some merch.
The Jeffree Star Cosmetics Heavy Metal Couture Mini Summer Collection has a punk rock aesthetic which ties into Jeffree’s summer performing at festivals.
“Time to get LOUD! We are bringing you the ultimate punk rock aesthetic fused with our iconic, high-performance formulas that will outlast the longest setlist.“
With this collection, there is a mini 9-pan eyeshadow palette with black cardboard packaging with a model wearing a hot pink mohawk on the front.
Inside the palette there is a small mirror inside the lid, and nine powder eyeshadows. Jeffree confirmed that the Jeffree Star Heavy Metal Couture Palette is their first eyeshadow palette to be made without talc.
Jeffree mentioned about the new rules and regulations on using talc as an ingredient, so this is their tester palette to see what the formula is like when they don’t use any talc to make the shadows.
He said it doesn’t mean all of this palettes will be talc-free going forward, but this is the first ever talc-free palette he’s created.
Just like every Jeffree Star Eyeshadow Palette, the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Heavy Metal Couture Palette features the Jeffree Star logo designs on the pans within the palette.
Inside the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Heavy Metal Couture Eyeshadow Palette, you’re getting nine shades, and eight of the shades are matte with just one single metallic shadow.
Here are the shade names;
- Guest List – white matte
- Cold Steel – periwinkle matte
- Runway Riff – graphite blue matte
- Crowd Surf – electric blue matte
- Head Bang – sandy brown matte
- Haute Distortion – teal blue metallic
- Designer Dirt – cool toned dark brown matte
- Blue Mohawk – deep navy matte
- Wall Of Death – black matte
Next up in the collection is two brand new shades of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Beachproof Liquid Eyeliner pen, with a felt tip pen.
They are made in Korea and Jeffree describes them by saying they literally do not budge or move.
The two new shades of the liquid eyeliner pen are;
- Tattooed Devil – designed to mimic the color of Jeffree’s tattoos and is a black with a hint of green
- Gravedigger – dark slate gray
Jeffree mentioned that his brand gets constant requests to bring back lip balms, so they created two new lip balms for this collection.
The lip balms both have a new formula and new packaging, as well as a new scent.
The two shades of the lip balms are;
- Encore – completely clear lip balm
- Unicorn Blood – deep red
They have aluminium packaging, with silver casing, and cobalt blue once you take off the lid. The new fragrance of the lip balm is vanilla mint.
The Jeffree Star Cosmetics Heavy Metal Couture Mini Summer Collection features a travel-friendly Heavy Metal Couture Travel Hand Mirror in a smaller size than his normal mirrors.
This limited edition mirror is black, shaped like a star with a studded rivet design for a punk rock vibe.
When does the Heavy Metal Couture Summer Collection launch?
Launching Friday, July 17th 11AM PST / 2PM EST on the Jeffree Star website.
