The new Grow A Garden Seed Stages update launches tomorrow (Saturday, September 27th), and it’s going to change how seeds work within the game, plus we’re getting the brand new Jungle Egg, with five new jungle-themed pets.
The Tiger is the brand new rarest 1% pet within the game, and keep on reading to find out all about this new pet… is it worth grinding for?

With the new Grow A Garden Seed Stages update, we’re going to need to “evolve” specific seeds we purchase from the new Tier 1 Seeds Shop, like Evo Pumpkin I, Evo Mushroom I and Evo Beetroot I.
Once we’ve evolved our seeds, we will then need to hand in different evolutions of seeds and fruits to the new NPC on the Seed Stages platform, and by doing so, we’ll unlock potential rewards, including the new Jungle Egg.
Inside the Jungle Egg, these are the new five jungle-themed pets to collect:
- Tree Frog – 40% chance
- Hummingbird – 30% chance
- Iguana – 24% chance
- Chimpanzee – 5% chance
- Tiger – 1% chance

What we really care about, is the new Divine 1% pet, and the rarest pet from the entire Seed Stages update.
It is the Tiger pet, and it has a double ability, which I think will be quite divisive. Some are going to love it, but some are not.
Every 12:41 minutes, the Tiger roars, calls all pets in your garden to move towards it. 5186.23 total XP is shared across each pet (max 800 XP per pet).
Every 7:50 minutes, roars, and 3 random mutations from your garden will be replaced with another random mutation. Ignores favorited fruit.

Now, the ability could still be tweaked ahead of the official launch tomorrow, but the tiger is a 2-in-1 pet, in that it offers XP to help level your pets, but it’s also a mutation pet.
I think the Tiger could be really overpowered if the cap per pet wasn’t 800 XP. That’s a very small amount of XP per pet every nearly 13 minutes. What happens if you hatch a titanic or godly Tiger, will the cap also be 800? That would be really disappointing, especially as the mutation ability just isn’t great.
When the tiger “roars” and replaces 3 random mutations with “another random mutation” – what if it removes high-value mutations like VoidTouched or Disco, and you end up with Drenched or Wet? That’s a really big risk to take.
It’s good that we can favorite fruit and the tiger will ignore those fruits, but it’s a big gamble, and I’m not sure people are going to want to risk their most valuable mutations with the tiger.
Plus, there are mutations you need to stack in order to get combined mutations, like tempestuous, stormcharged, maelstrom and cosmic. What if you’re waiting for those mutations, and the tiger just lifts those mutations from your fruit, it would be so frustrating.
I do think the Tiger is better than the Swan – which was very underwhelming, but it has been so long since we had a truly amazing Divine pet within the game. Make sure you get your Jungle Egg, once the update drops, so you can get your hands on the five new pets.
