There are four new pets to collect from the Grow A Garden Season Pass 4, and the Hazehound is just one of those pets.
In addition to the Hazehound, there’s a Ash Raven, Firemite and Cerberus, and you can get each of the four pets in a free to play standard version, or a premium version where it’ll either be a GIANT version (Ash Raven or Firemite) or a Rainbow Hatched version (Hazehound or Cerberus).

The Grow A Garden Hazehound pet can be found on level 40 of the season pass. You’ll get the standard black version of the Hazehound with the free season pass, or if you buy the Premium Season Pass, you’ll also get the free black version of the Hazehound, but you’ll also get a Rainbow Hatched version of the pet.

The Hazehound is a black dog with sharp claws, sharp teeth, glowing yellow eyes, and a cool beige protruding rib design along its torso. It is definitely one of the cooler pet designs we’ve seen in-game.

The Rainbow Hatched Hazehound has a glowing rainbow effect, like all Rainbow Hatched pets, with the same glowing yellow eyes.
I wonder why they chose GIANT for two pets and Rainbow Hatched for two pets, and what made them choose which pets to have each mutation.
Rainbow Hatched pets always look really cool with the glowing rainbow effect, but I actually think the black version of the Hazehound is cooler than the RBH version.
Here are the abilities for both versions of the Hazehound;
Free To Play Hazehound
Every 13:15 minutes, applies Ash mutation to a random fruit. Every 16:34 minutes, applies Haze mutation to a random fruit.
Premium Pass Rainbow Hatched Hazehound
Every 9:56 minutes, applies Ash mutation to a random fruit. Every 13:15 minutes, applies Haze mutation to a random fruit.
I think this pet is kinda underwhelming for a pass pet, as you have to wait such a long time for the two mutations, and it is only one single fruit the pet is mutating at a time, rather than being an area of effect mutating pet.
We’ve definitely seen better abilities on pass pets, and definitely one that’s 40 levels deep within the season pass.
