Essence have a brand new collaboration, and this time it’s the Essence x Care Bears Collaboration. This is a massive collaboration, with makeup, skincare, beauty tools and more, all themed around adorable Care Bears characters. Keep on reading to see everything within the collection…
Whenever Essence does a collab, they never do just a few products. They always go all out with their Disney collabs being the perfect example.
This is such a big collaboration, and multiple products come in multiple shades, plus, because it’s Essence, everything is super affordable.
The Essence x Care Bears Collaboration focuses on three main Care Bears characters;
- Funshine Bear (the yellow sunshine bear)
- Grumpy Bear (the blue rain cloud bear)
- Love-a-Lot Bear (the pink love heart bear)
Some of the products are individually themed around the different Care Bears with the colours, packaging designs or product names.
Let’s get started with the actual products within the collection…
The Essence x Care Bears Collaboration includes three Mini Layering Body Mists, each of which are themed around individual Care Bears characters, as well as a Hair & Body Mist.
Essence x Care Bears Mini Layering Body Mists €2.95
These mini layering body mists are super cute, and they each have a different scent so you can wear them alone, or layer them together for a custom scent.
The three different scents to choose from are;
- 01 Cozy Grumpy – notes of coconut, vanilla and tonka bean
- 02 Floral Love – notes of rose, orchid, white flowers and vanilla
- 03 Fruity Fun – notes of grapefruit, raspberry, nectarine, tropical fruits and vanilla
Essence x Care Bears Hair & Body Mist in 01 Feels Like A Hug €3.95
This Hair & Body Mist is 100ml, so it’s a lot bigger than the mini layering mists, and the bottle is a lemon color with a lilac Care Bears printed design.
For the fragrance, Essence describes the scent as having vanilla, white flowers and fruity notes, and can be sprayed all over your body or over your hair for a full body fragrance.
Essence x Care Bears Chubby Lip Mask Sticks €2.95
The collection includes two chubby lip mask sticks have a balm-like formula that glides over your lips effortlessly, giving you a sheer and translucent finish.
They’re formulated with vitamin E and shea butter for a nourishing formula to give your lips a delicate shine, and they can be used for touch-ups throughout the day, or at night before you sleep.
The first Lip Mask Stick is in 01 Smile Big, Care Bigger, which is a pink colour with a delicious watermelon scent.
The second Chubby Lip Mask Stick is in 02 It’s Cool To Care, which is a lavender color with a fruity blackberry scent.
Essence x Care Bears Care Jelly Grip Extreme Hydrating Primer €4.49
The next item in the collection is this Love-A-Lot Bear themed hydrating makeup primer.
It’s a clear glass bottle with hot pink colored jelly primer, which is a gel-based primer that feels like jelly and glides beautifully onto the skin.
Essence describes this primer as being an “extreme” version of their bestselling Jelly Grip Primer, to keep your makeup in place all day, while hydrating your skin.
Essence x Care Bears Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara Waterproof €3.95
The Essence x Care Bears Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara Waterproof is themed around Grumpy Bear, with a blue tube and little rain cloud.
It’s a waterproof version of the Lash Princess Mascara, and the ‘shade’ is called 01 No Rain, No Rainbow.
The Care Bears design of this mascara is so cute, and I love that it’s a waterproof mascara formula to help you when it rains, with little Grumpy Bear on the tube.
Essence x Care Bears Care Bears Bouncy Blushlighter in 01 Beary Into You €3.95
This is a blusher highlighter hybrid with a springy texture that feels silky-soft and transforms into a powdery finish on your cheeks.
It is described as being a pink blush with silver and pink glitter particles, and there’s a little image of Share Bear on the front of the compact.
This is the only shade available, and it looks like quite a radiant, bright pink shade.
Essence x Care Bears Lip Gloss Keychains €4.95
The cutest items in the entire Essence x Care Bears Collaboration is without a doubt the trio of Lip Gloss Keychains.
These keychains feature a tube of Essence lip gloss themed around the three main Care Bear characters Essence has chosen for this collab (Funshine Bear, Grumpy Bear and Love-A-Lot Bear).
For each gloss, you get a tube of lip gloss connected to a colour coordinated keyring with a hanging Care Bear figure, and a colour coordinated rope braided at each end, with the words Grumpy, Love and Shine depending on which you choose.
All three are absolutely adorable, and for under €5, they’re so affordable to get the lip gloss, the key chain and also the Care Bear figure.
All three glosses are different shades too;
- 01 Grumpy But Sweet – sheer gloss has subtle blue and pink glitter particles (blueberry scent)
- 02 Lots Of Love – sheer gloss with pink shimmer particles (strawberry scent)
- 03 More Fun, Please – sheer lip gloss with golden glitter particles (mandarin scent)
In the swatches above, you can see how similar the shades look on the lips, but in shade 01 you can see the blue shimmer, pink shimmer in shade 02 and gold glitter in shade 03.
Essence x Care Bears Eyeshadow Palette in 01 On Cloud Child €4.49
There is just one single eyeshadow palette in the entire collection, which is surprising, as Essence usually do multiple palettes in their collabs.
This is a five-pan palette with round and heart shaped pans, and there’s a cute Care Bear embossed into on of the matte shades.
It’s a cardboard palette, and there’s a 3D Love-A-Lot Bear figure on the front of the palette, which is so cute.
Inside the palette, there are two matte shades, one satin shade and two shimmer shades in rosy neutrals.
Essence x Care Bears Hydro Gel Eye Patches €7.95
This is a Grumpy Bear themed version of the Essence Hydro Gel Eye Patches, which are hydrogel patches you place on your under eye area to cool, refresh and hydrate your eyes.
You can keep these patches in your fridge for extra cooling power, and for this collab, they’ve redesigned the shape to be these super cute cloud shapes to match the cloud on Grumpy Bear, and they’re a shimmery blue colour.
Essence x Care Bears Lip Oil Trio & Fluffy Holder Set €8.95
Next up is this four-piece set featuring three different types of lip oil plus a fluffy Love-A-Lot Bear themed lip oil tube holder.
You get the following three lip oils;
- Can’t Adult Today Colour Changing Lip Oil (Grumpy Bear)
- But First, Fun Shimmer Lip Oil (Funshine Bear)
- Love To Care Lip Oil (Love-A-Lot Bear)
Each of the three lip oils have either a blueberry, mandarin orange or strawberry scent, and there are glitter particles within the lid of each lip oil.
The furry lip oil holder is a pale pink fur sleeve with a keychain ring attached, so you can clip it to your bag, and it has cute Love-A-Lot Bear embroidered hearts on the bottom.
Essence x Care Bears Lip & Cheek Balm in 01 Beary Soft €3.49
Next up is this lip and cheek balm with a soft and smooth texture that glides over your lips or cheeks.
Essence describes it as being buildable, and dries down to a matte finish.
Beary Soft looks like a berry shade, and the round jar has an adorable 3D Love-A-Lot Bear sat on the lid.
Essence x Care Bears Make Up Headband €3.49
This is an adorable lilac, furry makeup headband with two little ears on it. The colour matches Share Bear, with little embroidered hearts on one of the ears.
Essence x Care Bears Cushion Blush in 01 Feeling Beary Cute €3.69
The collection features one single shade of a cushion blush, and Love-A-Lot Bear features on the compact.
The Essence x Care Bears Cushion Blush comes with a Funshine Bear shaped puff to use with the cushion blush which is so cute, and the blush is a rosy pink shade.
Essence x Care Bears Cuddle Approved Makeup Bag €4.95
The collection includes a lilac bouclé makeup bag with a Funshine Bear charm on the zip.
Essence x Care Bears Serum Highlighters €3.69
The Essence Care Bears collection features two shades of a serum formula highlighter.
Described as having a light, fluid formula that blends seamlessly and the formula features nourishing oils so it feels as good as it looks.
The two shades available are;

- 02 Shine Brighter Together – pink shimmer
Essence x Care Bears Friendship Bracelets 01 For My Beary Bestie €2.95
This is a cute pack of two friendship bracelets, with one having yellow thread, gold beads and a gold Funshine Bear charm hanging from it, and the other has lilac thread, silver beads and a silver Share Bear charm.
Essence x Care Bears Makeup Sponge & Case Set €4.49
The last item in the collab are these makeup sponge and case sets, with one themed around Grumpy Bear called Kindness Always Wins, and one themed around Love-A-Lot Bear called Be Kind To All.
In each set you get a teardrop shaped makeup sponge with a flat surface with the name of the sponge set printed onto the flat surface.
As well as the beauty sponge, you get a colour coordinated storage case, with a ventilation hole so your sponge doesn’t get moudly.
Each case has the bears face on the lid of the case and little ears, and the ventilation hole on each case is shaped to match the bear the case is themed around; I just love the little details like that.
