We got a ton of new pets in the Grow A Garden Christmas Part 1 update, as the update coincided with the launch of the newest Season Pass.
The Grow A Garden Season 3 Pass has a festive and winter theme, and it includes four new pets in the free version, and eight new pets if you pay for the Premium tier, which is 749 Robux, or 749 Trading Tokens, which is what I used to pay for my Premium Season Pass 3.
Many players are raving about the Frost Dragon and Rainbow Hatched Frost Dragon, but the Arctic Fox and Rainbow Hatched Arctic Fox, are, in my opinion, the best pets from the whole update.

The Arctic Fox is the reward for completing tier 40 of the Season Pass, and you’ll get the standard Arctic Fox, and if you have the Premium Season Pass, you’ll get the standard Arctic Fox, and the Rainbow Hatched Arctic Fox, when completing tier 40.
For the standard Arctic Fox, the ability is:
“Every 24:00m, steals 24 random unique fruit from your garden and refreshes the seed shop! Ignores favorited fruit.“
For the Rainbow Hatched Arctic Fox, the ability is:
“Every 13:06m, steals 24 random unique fruit from your garden and refreshes the seed shop! Ignores favorited fruit.“
Both pets do the same ability, but the Rainbow Hatched version does the ability much quicker.

If you made your standard Arctic Fox, with a Headless Horseman, or used the new HyperHunger Pet Shard, it will definitely improve the speed the fox does the ability.
When it comes to appearance, the Arctic Fox is identical to the Red Fox pet, except they’ve made it white all over – it’s literally the only difference, but it’s still very cute.

As it’s a pass pet, we don’t have any pets that influence the size of the pets, so they’re always on the small size, but we have Elephants now, which can increase the size of any pet.
Now, let’s get onto what the Arctic Fox actually does, and whether it can restock the Peppermint Vine Seed…

For the Arctic Fox to do its ability, of restocking the Seed Shop, it “steals” aka removes 24 random unique fruits from your garden.
To get the best results, I would recommend using an empty garden slot you have available, and mass plant as many seeds as you can.
I used the back two plots within my garden, and in them, I planted 3 to 5 seeds of any multi-harvest plants I could – prioritizing quicker growing plants like Bloodred Mushrooms, for example.

The fox needs 24 unique fruits each time the ability is activated, so you need a lot of plants for it to work effectively, so cram the seeds as close together as you can.
There’s no point worrying about rarities of plants, as that doesn’t matter at all. Skip Sugar Apples and most of the Prismatic seeds, as they take the longest to grow, as you need to make sure you have at least 24 unique fruits fully grown every time the Arctic Fox activates its ability.
I planted so, so many different plants – way more than 24, as I use 2 x Mimic Octopus pets, so the ability is activated even more often. Here’s a rundown of some of the plants I used;
- Candy Cornflowers
- Bloodred Mushrooms
- Mangoes
- Peaches
- Cocomangos (Prismatic but grows quickly)
- Cocovines
- Beanstalks (use a Reclaimer until you get a large Beanstalk with lots of Beanstalk fruits, so the regrowing is less of an issue)
- Serenity
- Blueberries
- Strawberries
- Peppers
- Cyclamen (slow growing but has lots of flowers on one plant)
- Crown Of Throrns
- Devilroot
- Inferno Quince
- Duskpuff
- Autumn Shroom
- Roses
- Bananas

When the Arctic Fox’s ability triggers, you will get an (annoying) scrolling message on the screen telling you individually, which 24 fruits the fox stole, and the end of the 24 messages, it tells you the Arctic Fox has refreshed the Seed Shop.
After the 24 fruits have been stolen, the entire Seed Shop stock is refreshed, and the timer at the top of the shop it reset back to 4:59 minutes, and this happens every single time the ability is triggered.
Every time the stock is refreshed, it is just like the stock refreshes you get when watching the Ads with the yellow button at the top of the shop (if you have that feature yet).
It does not guarantee any restocks for any specific seed, it’s at random, and the restock percentages apply with every restock.

The Peppermint Vine Seed is a Transcendent seed, and has an insane chance of restocking naturally; just a 0.12% chance of restocking, every time the Seed Shop restocks.
That is insanely low, and it has only restocked naturally once since it launched this past Saturday.
With the Arctic Fox, you’re able to manually restock the entire Seed Shop, massively increasing your chances of getting the super rare seeds.
The Arctic Fox is extremely OP, as you can use it now for the limited edition seeds, but also in the future, so you want to keep hold of your Arctic Fox, and use it whenever you need to restock specific fruits.
Perfect example of where this pet would have been amazing, was the Fairy Update, where we needed to hand in an excessive amount of Mushrooms and Daffodils, and we all pretty much ran out of both.
If we had the Arctic Fox then, we could use an autoclicker on Mushrooms, or Daffodils, and mass buy them so we were prepared for the event, so the Arctic Fox is going to be massively helpful for updates going forward, where we need specific fruit types (like the Buttercups and Carrots for the most recent Safari event).

Can The Arctic Fox Restock The Peppermint Vine Seed In Grow A Garden?
In short – YES.
I went to the Trading Plaza, and used the Index button > Pets button > Arctic Fox in the search box, and it gives you the ability to teleport you to a server a player is selling a Arctic Fox.
I already have my standard Arctic Fox and Rainbow Hatched Arctic Fox from the Season Pass 3, but I wanted two more standard foxes, so I teleported until I found cheap Arctic Foxes on sale, and managed to get one for 50 Tokens and the other for 75 Tokens – which was so worth it, as you’d have to pay 1627 Tokens for one single Peppermint Vine seed.
Using 2 x HyperHunger 15 sec Mimic Octopus, a 15 sec Peacock, 3 x standard Arctic Fox, 1 x Rainbow Hatched Arctic Fox and 1 x Moth overnight for two nights, I used an autoclicker in the Seed Shop on the Peppermint Vine Seed button, and I managed to buy NINE Peppermint Vine Seeds.
So, it’s absolutely worth it, and thanks to the Arctic Fox, I can restock any seed I need, whenever I need it, providing I have the 24 unique fruits available for it to steal, so I’m going to keep one of my four garden slots purely for the Arctic Fox’s ability.
If you haven’t yet unlocked tier 40 of the Season Pass 3, get to work, so you can get your fox to help you restock the Peppermint Vine seed. If you don’t know what the Peppermint Vine Seed ability is, I did a whole guide right here.
