Grow A Garden 2 was first officially announced back in March, so a good three months ago, and now the launch date has been officially confirmed.
The original Grow A Garden first launched back on the 25th of March 2025, and the game saw some insane popularity, with a record-breaking 22 million concurrent players back on the 23rd of August. If you want to know when the new Grow A Garden 2 is going to launch, keep on reading…

We’ve heard the devs mention Grow A Garden 2 game many times since March, mostly Adrian and Frazers.
There’s a mix in people’s opinions on the game, which has been described as being a Grow A Garden meets Steal A Brainrot hybrid, with theft being one of the main game mechanics.
The game looks very similar to the original Grow A Garden, with the whole stud pattern design on everything, but it looks a little more basic in comparison.
The screen is going to have the teleport buttons on the top, just like Grow A Garden, but the buttons will be:
- Props
- Seeds
- Garden
- Sell
- Gears

In this screenshot sneak peek, you can see along the bottom of the screen, the hot bar, with a Shovel, Build, Carrot Seed, Strawberry Seed and Blueberry Seed.
You can see the plots, similar to the original GAG, the currency amount in the bottom corner, and the friend boost feature, where you can boost your earnings for each friend you have in the server.
On the side of the screen you can see the usual Store button, where you’ll be able to buy all of the P2W items, again, just like the original GAG.
In the center of the image, you can see the character sitting on a rainbow flying carpet, with the flying carpet being a feature from Steal A Brainrot, which I imagine you’ll be able to buy from the store, to help you steal from other player’s gardens.

In this screenshot, you can see in the Hot Bar, a “teleporter” gear item, five different apples, and weirdly, 75 x Raccoons.
We don’t yet know how pets will work inside Grow A Garden 2, but the fact that there’s 75 of them in this screenshot, suggests you only get a pet for a short amount of time, or for a single function, and you have to keep acquiring them, which is obviously very different to the original Grow A Garden.
The “Build” feature is intriguing, and it’ll be interesting to see how that works in-game, to enhance your gameplay.
For the launch of GAG 2, Adrian announced a contest within the official Discord, where he asked members to create a drawing of a Green Bean plant (after the Green Bean mascot of the original GAG), and the winner’s plant design will be made and put into GAG 2.

Plots are going to be a lot longer than the original version of the game, but the plots do look a lot more narrow, which looks very different to what we have in the original game.

Here you can see how long the plots are, as well as how narrow they are, with a crazy amount of strawberry plants planted, and a yellow fence bordering the garden.

Adrian shared this pic of some mutated tomatoes within Grow A Garden 2, and you can see how different the tomato plant looks to what we have inside Grow A Garden 1. The glow effect on the tomatoes is really cool, and we can see that mutations will be a thing in GAG 2.
