Grow A Garden is officially one year old, and the second ever Easter update is dropping on Saturday.
It looks like it’s going to be a super fun event that is going to remind of us of the ‘good’ Grow A Garden days, with an event with a seed pack (we haven’t had one since Christmas), a new egg (we haven’t had one since the Garden Games event) and quests.
I’ve still played Grow A Garden every day, even through the bad updates, but it was so boring not having anything to do, but this update looks like it’s going to give us multiple things to do, and different rewards.
In the Snack Nation Discord, they’ve shared some really epic looking leaks on the upcoming event – these images are from the Snack Nation Discord, so please go and join, so you can see the leaks as they come in.
In the above photo, you can see the event platform, with multiple NPCs, and it just looks amazing.
We can see there’s an Easter Egg Hunt section, with a countdown timer, which suggests we’ll get to do an Egg Hunt within the server, hopefully for some fun rewards.
There’s an Easter Shop, which we know is where we’re going to be able to buy special Easter-themed seeds, and a Chocolate Sprinkler, with the new in-game currency we’ll earn from participating in the event.
We also have a Sell Shop, which is where we’ll see our Easter plants.
It looks like there’s going to be Venus Fly Trap plant in the middle, which will ask us for specific plants, and the reward for doing this quest, will be new Easter seed packs. Next, we have to plant our Easter seeds in our special Easter Garden Slot.
Once the plants are grown, we can sell them at the Easter Sell Shop, and the NPC will give us Chocolate Coins; the brand new currency, and we’ll get to spend our Chocolate Coins currency at the Easter Shop, to buy more Easter seeds.
There is another shop, and this one is called Golden, which is where we can get the Golden Egg. We don’t know how we’ll be able to get the eggs, or if it’ll be another location we can see our Chocolate Coins, but it’s a gold colored egg with bunny ears on the top.
There are only four pets inside the Golden Egg:
- Chocolate Bunny – 55% chance
- Easter Egg Chick – 35% chance
- Marshmallow Lamb – 9% chance
- Easter Bunny – 1% chance
It is rare to only see four pets inside an egg, but it looks like this event is going to be a seed-focused update, which is so overdue, so we can’t complain.
Here are the abilities for the four new Easter pets:
Choc Chomper: Occasionally eats any Carrot plant with Choc mutation and spreads it to two other random fruits in your garden. Ignores favorited fruit
Easter Eggcelerator: Occasionally goes to a random un-hatched egg, and reduces its hatch time. Bonus hatch time reduced for every other Easter Egg Chick in your garden!
The Smore You Know: Occasionally grants another pet in your garden either XP OR advances its ability cooldown! Marshmallow Lamb gains whichever bonus was not given.
Chance a fruit gets Plasma mutation after collecting.
This is so underwhelming for the 1% pet, as the Plasma mutation is just a x5 multiplier. Compare that to the Gold Finch pet from the Bird’s Egg, which wasn’t the rarest bird in that egg, and the Gold Finch mutated fruits with the Goldsparkle mutation with a x500 multiplier.
The Easter Shop is also going to be selling two shop-bought pets, so it’s time for us to use our Barn Owl armies again, for the first time since Christmas.
Hootsie Roll is the first of the two shop pets, and this is a Mythical owl pet, and it’s ability is:
Hootsie Experience: Grants bonus XP/s to all Easter type pets! Hootsie Effect: Grants bonus XP/s to all pets in your garden!
The second shop pet is a Legendary pet, and it is the Gummy Bear. I actually think this pet is the one I’m looking forward to most, as I love a new mutation pet, especially as we know we’re getting a new Season Pass.
Mutation pets make it super easy to fly through the season pass, as you gain more XP for plants that are mutated (up to a max of 5 mutations per fruit).

Gummy Express: Occasionally applies the Gummy mutation!
Also, the Gummy Bear is supposedly going to come in multiple colors, kinda like the Mochi Mouse, Pixie and Iguana. I hope they look super cute with a translucent effect, so they look like true gummy bears.
It is going to be so cool to have a new egg and new pets again, as it has been pretty bleak since Christmas, with only two new eggs; Carnival Egg and Bird’s Egg. This update drops this Saturday, and you can see the time it drops for your time zone, right here.
