Jandel announced on his TikTok that he will be returning to Grow A Garden for the Easter update, and for an admin abuse.
There’s been a lot of speculation on whether Jandel is coming back full time, or if it’s just one event, and it does sound like it’s going to be one singular event.
However, if the event is well received and we see an improvement in player numbers, it is possible he could come back full time – maybe it’s to test the water and see how popular his new Easter event is going to be.
Like old times, we’ve had the update announcement well ahead of time. Grow A Garden stopped announcing updates on Wednesday a good five months ago, but we’ve had the Easter 2026 update announced over a week before it drops, which is very exciting.

Jandel Announces Grow A Garden Easter 2026 Update
In a video on TikTok, Jandel explained the inspiration behind the Easter update, and I transcribed his video to share what he said for you:
Hey guys, it’s me, Jandel. I’m just joking. But yeah, like guys, I just wanted to make this TikTok.
many people have been making leaks about me coming back this weekend, but it’s not true.
I’m gonna be doing the Easter update and I’m actually really excited for it. Um, it’s a really fun update.
My whole like plan was to kind of capture the original feel of gag like make it feel really nostalgic.
So all the update is is basically all the update is, is it’s like a new garden save slot, but it’s Easter themed and there’s like a new shop with new plants and a new sale guy with like a different currency.
So you get a start gag all over again. Then we bring it back some of the OG really fun events we did and you can trade in your like Easter event plants to take back plants to your main garden.
That’s basically it, you know? So yeah, I kinda made this TikTok like I want you guys to comment more ideas below. If you hate the update, tell me and I’ll change it.
I think the best updates were ideas I stole from the community. So thanks guys.
In the video, he shares that he is going to be doing an Easter update inspired by the “original” feel of GAG, so it feels nostalgic.
He has explained that every player will be getting a new limited edition garden save slot within the game, and in that game, you get to plant Easter plants (which you’ll purchase from the Easter Shop, and you trade in your Easter plants, and in return, you’ll get Chocolate Coins as a new currency reward.

The Dawn Discord server used to be the go-to place for your Grow A Garden leaks, but they closed it down when they switched to their own game; Garden Horizons. Some of the best Grow A Garden YouTubers, like Sinister are promoting a new Discord server called Snack Nation.
Snack Nation are sharing some really good leaks and info on the new upcoming update (join the Snack Nation server here), and the leaks in this post have come from that server, so please check it out. It looks like it might actually be better than the original Dawn, so it’s well worth joining, so you get the leaks instantly.
It is 8 days until the Easter event drops, so any leaks in this post are subject to change, but the initial leaks look amazing, and I’m really excited to see a proper, well thought out Grow A Garden update for once.
In the above image, you can see an Easter Shop run by an NPC, a Venus Fly Trap NPC in the middle (just like Angry Plant Event which was run back in April 2025), and a Sell Stuff shop being run by a bunny NPC.

Here is a look at what the Easter Garden might look like, with an Easter Garden sign with bunny ears, and super cute pastel Easter egg patterns on the fence. I so hope we can keep this fence long-term, and it isn’t just for the temporary Easter Garden we’ll have for the event.

This is what the Easter 2026 Grow A Garden garden slot will look like, and it’s lilac, so it’ll stand out from the usual brown colored garden slots.
We’ll plant the new Easter event plants in this garden, in order to do the Easter event.

Whenever there’s a new update, we’ll be getting this pop-up message to explain what’s new, so we know what to do with the new events.
We’ve really needed this, as there’s never an explanation on what the new events are anymore, but this guide will help us get started with the event straight away.

Sinister shared this image of the new seed pack coming to the game, in the Easter update, with a pastel blue and lilac design, with a yellow rectangle on the front, with an Easter egg.
If you played the original Easter event in Grow A Garden, the shapes on the side of this seed pack will remind you of the leaves of the OG Easter Egg seed once grown.

We haven’t had a seed pack since the Winter Season Pass, which is crazy! We’ve had new seeds, but no seed packs, so I, for one, am very excited that we’re getting a new seed pack, and it looks like we’ll be able to spin for the ordinary seeds, but there will be Rainbow Packs hidden inside the packs, like they did in the Buttercup event.
In this photo, we can see three of the seeds:
- Candy Carrot (common)
- Chocolate Berry (uncommon)
- Liquorice (legendary)

In other screenshots, it looks like we’ll be able to buy seeds (and gear?) from the Easter Shop, using our Chocolate Coins currency, and the seeds are shown as:
- Candy Carrot (common)
- Chocolate Berry (uncommon)
- Liquorice (legendary)

- Gumball (rare)
- Chocolate Sprinkler (rare) (this is a Gear item and not a seed, obviously)
- Sugar Melon (legendary)

- Gummy Cactus (mythical)
- Sour Lemon (divine)
- Eggfruit (prismatic)

The prices and quantities of these items are all subject to change, but as you can see, you’ll be spending your Chocolate Coins currency, that you earn by handing over your Easter plants to the NPC on the event platform.

This is a look at the Candy Carrot plant, and it looks like the carrots will be brightly colored with white stems.

This appears to be the Gummy Cactus plant, with brown spikes.

This is the Gumball plant, which looks so cool. The top of the plant is designed to look like a gumball machine, with hanging fruits off the stem. It isn’t for everyone, but imagine how cool it’d look if you could get a massive one.

Here is the Sugar Melon, which looks like a pastel colored version of a watermelon.

It looks like this might be the Liquorice, and it looks like it might be a single-use plant, but we’re not 100% sure.

Here is the Sour Lemon plant, and I love it so much. It’s a tree plant, with hanging lemon slices. It looks so fun and summery, and I bet the lemon slices would look insane when grown huge and with mutations too.

Lastly, here is the Egg Fruit, which is going to be a prismatic plant. It’s a pale trunk tree with a blue top and hanging pastel colored Easter Eggs. It kinda gives a modern Candy Blossom vibe.
I can’t wait to see what else we’re getting. There are no mentions of pets right now, but surely we’ll get some pets too? We deserve some decent pets considering how disappointing the pets have been since the Christmas update – especially the visuals. One word: birb.
I’ll update this post whenever there are new leaks and spoilers, but the new Easter 2026 Grow A Garden update drops on Saturday, April 4th.
