The Cardinal pet is one of three brand new pets from the new Grow A Garden Enchanted Chest.
There’s also the Phoenix, and the Shroomie, with the Cardinal pet being the most common pet you can get from the Enchanted Chests. While it is the most common pet from the chest, what does it actually do? Keep reading to find out!
The Cardinal pet has an Uncommon rarity, and oh wow do you get a lot of Cardinal pets when opening the Enchanted Chests.
Here are the six pets and seeds you can find inside the Enchanted Chests:

- Cardinal Pet – 34% chance
- Pyracantha Seed – 14.5% chance
- Shroomie Pet – 14.5% chance
- Aetherfruit Seed – 1% chance
- Phoenix Pet – 1% chance
The Cardinal pet has a percentage chance of 34%, making it super common. It is designed to look like a red cardinal bird, and it does actually look like a cardinal, and it walks around your farm quite slowly.
It has yellow legs, a yellow beak, and red and black feathers.
Benefits Of The Grow A Garden Cardinal Pet
The cardinal has a very underwhelming benefit, in that all does is:
All magical type plants grow 1.56x faster. So, I think that’s all of the seeds within the Enchanted Seed Pack, and then the seeds from the new Fairy World event extension.
It could be handy for the fairy event, for when you want the plants to grow back quickly, before the glimmer fairies come and mutate your crops, but it’s potentially only going to be helpful for one week.
After this event finishes, you’d be better off with the Pixie pet, which will make all crops in a given area grow faster, but it is a really sweet looking pet, and I’d love to see more bird pets within the game.
