When the Grow A Garden Dinosaur Egg was revealed, there was one dinosaur I wanted more than the others, and that was the Brontosaurus, as it looked so cute in the promotional pics.
It is the second-rarest pet you can hatch, and its ability is super unique. Keep on reading to find out all about the Brontosaurus pet, and what it can do for you and your other pets.
What Is The Grow A Garden Brontosaurus Pet?
The Brontosaurus pet is one of six brand new pets that dropped as part of the Prehistoric Update.
We got a brand new egg; the Dinosaur Egg, and you can hatch one of six dinosaurs within this egg.
You cannot purchase this egg, like you can with other eggs in the game, making them more rare, and the pets inside, even more rare.
If you want to get a Dinosaur Egg, you’re going to have to either give Graham an unwanted pet (that isn’t a dinosaur), and the DNA Machine will convert that pet into a Dinosaur Egg, or turn it into a fully grown dinosaur pet.
You can also earn one Dinosaur Egg every 12 hours, by completing the Prehistoric Daily Quest via Blaire.
Within the Dinosaur Egg, you’ll get one of these pets:
- Raptor – 35% chance
- Triceratops – 32.5% chance
- Stegosaurus – 28% chance
- Pterodactyl – 3% chance
- Brontosaurus – 1% chance
- T. Rex – 0.5% chance
The Brontosaurus Pet is huge, regardless of the weight of the pet upon hatching. My Brontosaurus is 1.91kg, and it’s absolutely giant.
I can’t even imagine how massive the titanic version of the Brontosaurus will be, as mine is so, so big.
It is a mid-brown color with a long neck, a long curled tail, and it walks so slowly around the farm.
It is so funny to see him trying to scale the beanstalk, a sunflower or bamboo, as he’s so huge.
What Does The Grow A Garden Brontosaurus Pet Do?
Pets hatched from eggs have a 5.70% increase in base size and weight!
This size bonus is capped at 30% per egg, and does not apply to brontosauruses.
The Brontosaurus is so unique, because every egg you hatch, after placing a brontosaurus pet in your garden, will increase the hatch weight and hatch size of every pet, with a 5.70% increase.
This size and weight increase stacks too, so you can have multiple brontosaurus pets equipped in your garden, and they’ll each give you around 5.70% increase, up to a maximum of 30% – meaning, the most you can stack would be 5 brontosaurus pets.
However, the size and weight increase works for every single pet except the brontosaurus, due to how large and heavy they already are, but it works for every other pet species within the game.
I LOVE this ability. It is so cool that it will give you bigger and heavier pets, especially if you stack multiple brontosaurus pets, and the heavier the pet, the quicker the pets will do their individual benefit, so the brontosaurus pets are super worth having, and I can’t wait to hatch more.
